I listened to the discussion today on hip fractures. It was marvelous in every aspect.... The podcast caused me to expand my thinking on why and how a large study on this subject would be so applicable for engaging physical therapist clinicians in research. It is unconscionable to think of the remarkable advances that have been made in the management of so many conditions while so little progress has been made to alter the recovery of this patient population to a level that should be attainable in today's society. I believe physical therapists have a great deal to contribute to this process, but it must include a host of other disciplines working together to produce the desired result.
